Waterloo Town Supervisor Don Trout has pleaded guilty to a pair of charges in connection with a December accident.
The Finger Lakes Times reports Trout admitted to leaving the scene of a property damage accident and unsafe lane change.
Trout’s car left the road near Route 96A and River Road 3 days before Christmas, hitting a telephone pole, before Trout fled the scene on foot.
Family members later found him and took him to the hospital.
Trout took over as Waterloo Town Supervisor on New Year’s Day.
