Joseph M. Legott, 60, of Border City, Rd., passed away unexpectedly on Monday (March 5, 2018) in his home.
Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., Geneva, on Thursday (March 8, 2018) from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday (March 9, 2018) in the funeral home and at 1:30 p.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial, contributions, in his memory may be made to the Diabetic Association.
Joseph was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of Nicholas Legott and the late Diane Kuykendall Legott. He was a graduate of Geneva High School class of 1976 and served in the National Guard for several years. He was employed with IBEW for many years. Joe coached Little League for over ten years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Joanne Beniamino Legott; father, Nicholas Legott of Geneva; daughters Catherine A. (Jeffery) Conger of Va., and Shannon M. Legott of Geneva; brothers Mark (Jen) Legott of Seneca Falls, Nicholas (Chris) Legott of Geneva and Jason (Joscelyne) Legott of Colorado; granddaughter, Maddison Conger of Va.; uncles Jack Legott of Geneva, Robert Kuykendall of Seneca Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
