Late last night, Geneva City School District officials were alerted to a bomb threat etched into a computer at the Carter Road complex.
The Geneva Police Department, New York State Police, and Ontario, Wayne and Seneca County Sheriffs all responded with K9 units and performed a thorough search of the campus. A bag search was conducted as students entered this morning, and police are maintaining a presence for added security. The investigation is ongoing.
In a statement from Heather Swanson, Public Relations Officer for the Geneva City Schools, she says, “the district will continue to do everything in its power to ensure our students and staff are safe.”
