An 18 year old Wolcott teen has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds after a 12 gauge shotgun and ammunition were found in his vehicle at North Rose-Wolcott High School.
On Thursday, a staff member heard students talking about hunting and that one of the students, Kyle Slyter, had quote, something in his car. The firearm and ammunition were recovered by the district’s School Resource Officer that works out of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department. No threats were made at any time and the firearm never left the vehicle until it was recovered by the SRO.
Slyter was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Rose court.
