A father and daughter indicted one week ago on murder charges in the death of a Corning woman last August pleaded not guilty in two separate court appearances in Steuben County Court Monday.
Michelle Neurauter’s ex-husband, Lloyd Neurauter, entered a not guilty plea to nine counts, including first-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder, and burglary. He was sent back to Steuben County Jail without bail.
The couple’s daughter, Karrie Neurauter pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, first-degree custodial interference, tampering with evidence, and conspiracy. She was sent back to Steuben County Jail without bail.
Both will be tried jointly beginning September 24th. If convicted of their most serious charges, Lloyd Neurauter faces life in prison without the possibility of parole, and Kerrie Neurauter faces 15 years to life behind bars.
