Funding for cleanup and restoration projects in the Great Lakes would be significantly slashed under President Donald Trump’s budget plan released this week. The plan would cut existing funding for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, a program housed in the Environmental Protection Agency, from roughly 300 MILLION to 30-THOUSAND. Congressman Tom Reed on the proposal.
Overall, Reed is not impressed with the President’s budget.
The cut proposed in the Trump administration’s budget is part of an overall 3 BILLION dollar budget reduction to the EPA.
