Two popular TV game shows are not on cable TV for some Finger Lakes viewers.
A contract dispute has resulted in Spectrum pulling the plug on Fox channels in Central New York.
Syracuse.com reports Fox Syracuse released a statement on Friday, saying they offered to extend their current agreement with Spectrum, but the cable company opted to take the channels off the air instead. Spectrum says Fox Syracuse was demanding a 75-percent fee increase.
WSYT (Fox 68) and WNYS (My43) were both pulled from cable subscribers.
For those cable customers in the Central Finger Lakes — mainly in Cayuga, Seneca, Tompkins, and parts of Southern Wayne counties were Spectrum weeks ago pulled the plug on WROC Channel 8 in Rochester, there now is no “Wheel of Fortune” or “Jeopardy.”
