Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer is calling on the U-S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to send a special team to New York to help fight the tough flu season. Schumer says that so far, half-way through the flu season, 52-hundred New Yorkers have been hospitalized for the flu. Last year’s number for the entire season was 35-hundred people hospitalized.
Schumer says this is a critical need for New York.
