Update, 5:00 p.m. Hours after a travel advisory was issued, Cayuga County Sheriff Dave Gould has now lifted the advisory. The Sheriff’s office issued the advisory to drivers around six o’clock this morning, and called it off shortly before Noon.
In addition, a winter storm warning for Cayuga County is now over.
Old Man Winter is hammering the Finger Lakes, and drivers in Cayuga County are being asked to use extra caution if you have to go out on the roads today.
Sheriff Dave Gould has issued a travel advisory for the county, saying hazardous conditions exist because of heavy snowfall.
If you do have to drive today, Gould says to be extra careful and watch out for icy spots on some roads.
