Sales tax revenues were up significantly across the county, with a 7.4% increase over 2016 figures. Meanwhile, local municipalities reported an across-the-board increase of 12.6% over 2016 revenues.
County Treasurer Jim Orman tells Finger Lakes News Radio there are some obvious reasons for the increased revenues.
On the down side, Auburn reported a drop in sales tax revenue of 0.6%; however, the city only receives tax revenue from sales within the city limits.
