Joe McDonald, 88, entered into eternal peace on January 7, 2018.
As per Joe’s request there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Joe was born March 7th, 1929 to Francis J. McDonald Sr and Margaret McGrane McDonald. He was a lifelong resident of the Ovid area, graduating from Ovid High School in 1947 and then joining the Air Force where he served until 1950. Joe returned home and met his future wife, Beverly Kellogg, with whom he would enjoy a 66 year marriage. Joe was the proud father of four children and supported them with a 33 year career at Willard State Hospital. He also served on the Schuyler County Posse, Seneca County Sheriff Deputy, and served as Romulus Town Justice for many years. Joe and Bev retired and traveled in their motor home until they settled in Florida for 20 great years. They returned to the Geneva area for the last 10 years. Joe was a life member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks, and South Seneca Sportsmans Club.
Joe is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beverly; his children Randy (Gail) of Bastrop, TX, Scott (Patty) of Geneva, Babette (Ed) of Stoney Brook, Long Island, and Dana Bullivant of Seneca Castle; grandchildren Joshua (Erika), Sean (Nateshia), Kevin (Jessica), Craig (Maggie), Macy Kisner, Kelley (Amadou), and Christopher; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Jean Poorman; sister-in-law, Peggy Oltz; and his beloved dog, Baby.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mary, Margaret and Patricia; brothers Hugh and Robert; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Bullivant.
