Auburn City Council will consider two resolutions on the Thursday night agenda dealing with the long overdue Genesee Street paving project.
One resolution awards the work on the project to F. Rizzo Construction. The second authorizes the city to pay the nearly $5 Million project cost up front before being reimbursed with state and federal funds.
The massive project includes repaving Genesee St. from the North/South St. intersection downtown to Bluefield Rd. in Aurelius, along with improvements to manholes and sewers, new crosswalks and pedestrian signals and even bike lanes in some areas.
Also on the agenda is a first reading of the local law repealing and replacing sections of the city’s vehicle and traffic code.
