A Waterloo supervisor is accused of leaving the scene of a crash. The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the scene of a one-car crash last week, but the driver was nowhere to be found.
Authorities say the December 22nd crash happened near River Road and State Route 96A. Witnesses told investigators the driver fled into a wooded area.
33-year-old Don Trout of Waterloo was later found by a family member. Trout was given tickets for leaving the scene of an accident, unreasonable speed, moving from lane unsafely, and driving across hazard markings.
Trout is set to appear in Fayette Town Court on February 7th.
