Now that Christmas is over, don’t just throw away your Christmas tree. Valerie Horning with the County Soil and Water Conservation District says trade it in for a new model.
Horning tells Finger Lakes News Radio this year they will be giving away white spruce seedlings. She adds the used trees will get a second life of sorts.
You can drop off your tree after New Year’s Day at the Natural Resource Center on County House Road on the following dates:
- January 2nd through the 5th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- January 6th from 8:00 am to noon
- January 8th through the 12th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
