In other action, Port Byron bested Lafayette, 73-65; Chittenango over Jordan-Elbridge, 67-58; Midlakes took out Waterloo, 49-41; Marcus Whitman dropped Dundee, 50-38; Red Jacket ran by Romulus, 58-41; Honeoye tripped up South Seneca, 67-55; Mynderse upended Newark, 55-48; Gates-Chili nipped Victor, 63-62; Greece Odyssey smoked Sodus, 67-37; Naples clipped Campbell-Savona, 53-41; and Wayne gashed Geneva, 59-36.
On the girls side, Geneva got by Wayne, 56-45; Mynderse no problem with Newark, 57-34; Pal-Mac took down Penn Yan, 56-49; Waterloo beat Romulus, 70-62; North Rose-Wolcott shut down Williamson, 40-27; Lyone easily over Marion, 46-32; Red Creek smashed Sodus, 67-38; Pulaski canned Cato-Meridian, 43-28; and Bishop Ludden in a laugher over Jordan-Elbridge, 59-11. In the NHL, the Sabres fell to Chicago in OT, 3-2; while Washington topped the Rangers, 4-2. In the AHL, the Amerks eked by Springfield, 2-1; and the Crunch beat up on Binghamton, 5-2.
