Richard Paul Christensen, age 50, died Tuesday, (November 28, 2017), following a long illness.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday (Dec.4) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home, 45 High St. Geneva. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (Dec.5) at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bellona Cemetery
Richard was a graduate of Geneva High School and an avid sports fan. He played for minor, major and Bath Ruth teams in Geneva Little
League, High School and a Men’s League.
He had been an employee of the Geneva Penny Saver for several years before relocating to Orlando, Florida to continue his house remodeling career and excelled as a finish carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Lorrie Christensen; his 10 year old son, Nicholas Christensen; his mother-in-law, Donna Fillingham; his mother, Jean Carril; and brother, Brett Christensen of Orlando, Fla.; his father, H. Paul Christensen; and aunt, Carol Sue Preston of Geneva; a sister, Wendy Christensen; along with nieces Jenna and Jackie; nephew, Brandon of Canandaigua; and nephew, Mark Preston of Penn Yan.
