The Pennsylvania man accused of killing a Big Flats man during a home invasion earlier this month has declined extradition to New York where he is facing warrants out of Steuben and Chemung Counties.
32-year-old Curtis Burrows is accused of fatally shooting 60-year-old Timothy Webster at Webster’s Reasor Hollow Road home and stealing his truck November 2nd. Authorities say the Mansfield, Pennsylvania man also tried to abduct a woman in Corning prior to the fatal shooting. Steuben District Attorney Brooks Baker and Chemung County District Attorney Weeden Wetmore will apply to get a “governor’s warrant” in order to have Burrows returned to New York. He is wanted in Steuben County for attempted kidnapping and in Chemung County for burglary.
Additional charges are likely after both counties send their respective cases to grand juries.
