Two Cayuga County Legislature races too close to call after last Tuesday’s election will be decided on Tuesday when county election officials count absentee ballots.
Democratic Party Board of Elections Commissioner Katie Lacie tells Finger Lakes News Radio there will be a preliminary count beginning at 9:30 before the main event begins.
She adds the count is open to all.
Republican incumbent Tim Lattimore leads Democratic party newcomer Bob Nodzo in the District 13 race by the slimmest of margins — 305 to 304. Republican Chris Petrus has a 24 vote edge over independent Grant Kyle in the District 4 runoff.
