It’s going to be a little while before the Auburn City Council votes on approving the Owasco Lake Watershed Management Council taking control of the Owasco Lake Watershed Inspection Program. City Clerk Chuck Mason tells Finger Lakes News Radio city councilors support the resolution, but more time was requested for review.
Mason says the resolution will likely be back on the table before month’s end.
The agreement dates back to 2011, when the city, county, and the town of Owasco agreed to support the watershed inspection program until the council could take over administrative duties.
Meanwhile, the Health and Human Services Committee in the Cayuga County Legislature approved the resolution during its meeting last evening, and goes to the full legislature at the end of this month.
