A Southern Tier man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly shooting a dog with an arrow.
63 year old Marvin Boncore is accused of shooting a one year old Beagle/Labrador mix after it walked onto his property while its owner was fixing a nearby fence. The dog suffered multiple broken bones and is expected to survive. The shooting happened in the Allegany County town of Wirt, which is located near the NY-Pennsylvania border. Boncore was charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals and reckless endangerment.
He is scheduled to appear back in court later this month.
