There was good news in the review of the City of Auburn’s 2016-17 fiscal year budget presented at last night’s City Council meeting.
City Clerk Chuck Mason said on Friday’s Finger Lakes Morning News the city is getting its fiscal house in order.
Comptroller Laura Wills reported the city’s long-term debt decreased by $3.2 million from the previous fiscal year and four out of the five main funds ended the year with a positive balance. Mason added there was also positive news about energy related projects.
Patrick Jordan with Insero & Company Certified Public Accountants told Council members he saw mostly positives while conducting the audit.
