The Geneva City Council appears poised to take action on the proposed 2018 City Budget a week ahead of schedule. There is a special meeting Wednesday night at 6 and budget approval is on the agenda. The General Fund budget calls for an increase in spending of not quite 560-thousand dollars over last year. The 16.9 million dollar suggested package includes no increase in the property tax rate which would stay at 17-dollars and 83 cents per assessed thousand dollars of valuation .
Among capital projects slated for 2018: phase 4 of the Lakefront Improvement Project , North Main Street Rehabilitation, 5 Point and 5 and 20 improvements. We link you to the budget here at Finger Lakes Daily News.com
