A 3 year old Clifton Springs cider maker has big plans for the future . Star Cider has been accepted into the state’s Start Up New York on the promise of spending some 300-thousand dollars to build a production center near the main campus of Finger Lakes Community College in Hopewell . They would create 5 new jobs. Under Start-Up New York they could operate tax free for 10 years.
In a release from Empire State Development Star Cider co-owner and head cider maker Cortni McGregor Stahl is quote as saying , “We are very excited to be starting this next chapter and to expand our small, family run business. We have been working tirelessly in hopes of creating a space to share with the community, students, and visitors to the Finger Lakes. ”
