Cayuga and Seneca Counties were flashpoints in the decades long women’s suffrage battle, and beginning on Friday the fight for women’s rights will be on display at the Cayuga Museum in Auburn.
Curator Kirsten Wise tells Finger Lakes News Radio the “social media” of the day from both sides of the fight could be as vitriolic as today’s online war of words.
On Sunday evening, renown suffrage scholar Dr. Susan Goodier will give a presentation on the fight for women’s rights.
Woman’s Protest: Two Sides of the Fight for Suffrage in New York will be open through December 30. You can get more information at the Cayuga Museum website.
