As the FBI and Las Vegas Police Department race to uncover the motive in Sunday’s worst mass shooting in U.S. history, some have already shifted the focus to gun control and legislation as a way of preventing such tragedies from happening again. Congressman Tom Reed says its still too early for anyone to jump to any conclusions about the cause of Sunday’s event.
Reed says to fundamentally attack our individual constitutionally guaranteed freedoms of the Second Amendment is not something he has been supportive of in the past.
Authorities are hopeful the gunman’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, will be able to shed more light into his actions. She returned to the United States late last night from her home country of the Philippines.
