Even though a public meeting on proposed fee changes at areas located within the Finger Lakes National Forest has passed, that doesn’t mean they still don’t want to hear from you. Ethan Ready is Public Affairs Officer with the Forest. He says those interested in weighing in on the proposed changes can mail their comments in.
Ethan explains what happens when the comment period ends.
The change in fee for the Blueberry Patch Recreation Area would be from the current 10-dollar fee to 20 dollars per night, per site, per vehicle with a 5 dollar additional fee for a second vehicle. Other fee changes are being proposed for the Backbone Horse Camp and the Potomac Group Camp and Pavilion.
