The retrial of a Tompkins County man accused of 2nd-degree murder will be held later this month.
Prosecutors say 23-year-old Nagee Green knifed 19-year-old Anthony Nazaire and another man during a fight on the Cornell University campus in August of 2016. Nazaire later died of his wounds at Cayuga Medical Center, while the other victim was treated and released.
Green was found guilty of assault at his initial trial in June, but jurors remained deadlocked on the murder charge.
Jury selection in Green’s new trial begins September 15th.
