Finger Lakes area drivers in the last day have seen gas prices jump 10-15 and 20 cents a gallon due in large part to the damage and supply disruption caused by Hurricane Harvey. Western New York Triple A spokesperson Lindsay Hawkins says some of the supply that has been set for delivery in the Northeast is being sent to Texas by ship. She says another 10 to 15 cent hike is still possible here while they assess damages in Texas.
Even tough they were not in the path of Harvey, stations in places like San Antonio, Dallas and Oklahoma City have run out of gas. Check out our Gas Buddy link through the Labor Day weekend for the latest prices here.
