An Ithaca man has been sentenced to five years in prison for burglarizing his wife’s home in Dryden earlier this year.
59-year-old Alexandre Pougatchev was located standing in the living room of his wife’s home by her housemate the morning of March 1st. The housemates state Pougatchev was standing about 6 feet from him with a handgun pointed at his head. Pougatchev allegedly pulled the trigger on the handgun three times, which the housemate claims he heard “clicks.” The gun turned out to be a toy. A fight between the two men ensued and Pougatchev was held at the residence until police arrived.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of burglary last month.
