State Senator John DeFrancisco is thinking of joining the list of Republicans vying to be the GOP nominee to oppose Gov. Cuomo in 2018. Cayuga County Republican Party Chair Jeff Herrick said on Thursday’s Finger Lakes Morning News the number 2 Republican in the Senate has the credentials to win.
Herrick added while DeFrancisco could win, he’s not the only strong candidate.
Locally, there will be races for six seats on the County Legislature in November, while former Auburn city council member John Camardo and political newcomer Adam Miller will be running for the council seats currently held by Terry Cuddy and Debby McCormick.
