Season Ends for Finger Lakes Young Professionals

The Finger Lakes Young Professionals (also referred to as FLYP) softball team finished their 2013 season, 5:3.  The group was part of the Finger Lakes Geneva Recreational Coed Softball program, under the non-competitive league.

The team’s roster included members from various Yates, Ontario and Seneca County communities.

Most coming from prior athletic backgrounds and softball or baseball experience, some of the members were first-time athletes, or brand new to the game.

Receiving the nomination of Most Improved Player for the group was Michael Catalano, District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, Geneva office, who excelled as the season continued.  (photo below, back row, 3rd from left)

The team posed for a group photo after their last game, held on July 25 at the Clark St. field, where they were defeated by Dana's Time Out.
