Sunday morning’s Bren Zone will be heavy on the hoops as we talk Syracuse University basketball with Mike Waters of the Post-Standard, and talk to the head coaches of both the Finger Lakes East and Finger Lakes West champions in boys basketball.
In addition to covering Syracuse’s game against Seton Hall on Saturday night, Waters travelled to Indianapolis earlier in the week to take part in an NCAA mock selection exercise. We’ll ask Mike what it was like to get a behind-the-scenes look at the selection process and find out what new insights he gained.
Geneva Panthers head coach Brian Miller will join us in studio for the entire 10:00 hour to discuss his team’s 17-1 regular season and Finger Lakes East title. We’ll preview the Panthers’ Class A bracket as well as the rest of the Section V Boys Basketball Tournament. We’ll also talk to Naples boys basketball coach Mick Salter, who guided the Big Green to its first Finger Lakes West title in 25 years and the school’s first ever #1 seed in sectionals in the open era.
The Bren Zone, hosted by Brendan Harrington, airs every Sunday morning from 9-11 on Finger Lakes News Radio and fingerlakesdailynews.com If you can’t listen live, you can listen anytime on demand at brenharrington.podbean.com
