Marjorie Ruth Lafler Loving wife and mother CANANDAIGUA - Marjorie Lafler, 66, died March 10, 2013, surrounded by her loving husband and son. Friends may call Thursday, March 14, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. Born March 27, 1946, in Potter, Marge was the youngest of three children. She helped raise her eight nieces and nephews and took great pleasure in family events. Marge and Gary Lafler married on Oct. 26, 1968, in Potter and had one child, Troy, in 1972. Marge enjoyed bowling, balloon festivals, covered bridges and mystery programs. She will best be remembered for her fierce protectiveness of her husband and son; the warmth in her heart for her daughter-in-law, as her own child; and quirky sense of humor that brought a smile to everyone's faces. Marge is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Gary; son, Troy; daughter-in-law, Martha; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Mary Sanderson Daines; brother, Leon Daines; and sister, Ethelyn Peterson.
