AUBURN | Mrs. Julia Yablonsky, 92, of 5850 South St., Auburn, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, at Mercy Health and Rehabilitation Center. Julia was born on Nov. 3, 1920, the daughter of William and Mary Kotys Walowsky. A graduate of Auburn East High School, she had retired from GE, Auburn. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Church and St. Alphonsus Altar and Rosary Society. Her favorite hobbies were playing golf, and bowling. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed those special times with family and friends. Her husband, Joseph, whom she married on Nov. 1, 1941, passed away on Jan. 9, 1998, their surviving family members are daughters, Sharron (Paul) Morita, of Bridgeton, N.J., and Elaine (Patrick) Malvaso, of Alexandria, Va.; grandchildren, Joseph Morita, of Brooklyn, Tim Morita, of Oregon, Katie Morita, of Montclair, N.Y., Lisa Malvaso, of Woodbridge, Va., Matthew (Rebekah) Malvaso, of Alexandria, Va.; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Caleb, and Kamea Morita, Rei and Bea Morita, Caterina and Alessandra Malvaso; one brother, Steven (Betty) Walowsky, of Auburn; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by parents, husband, and a daughter, Lori Anne Yablonsky. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, in St. Alphonsus Church, with the Rev. Louis Vasile, pastor as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hour will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, prior to mass, at Farrell's Funeral Service, Inc., 84 South St., Auburn. Memorials may be made to St. Alphonsus Church.
