WATERLOO - Elizabeth (Liz) Kjar, 94, of Waterloo, passed away Friday (February 15, 2013) at home.
Calling hours and funeral services for Liz will be held on Wednesday (February 20) from 11 to 1 p.m. with services beginning at 1 p.m., all at Weldon Funeral Home. A private burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers, may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church, 2414 Route 414 North, Waterloo, NY 13165 or a charity of one's choice .
Liz was born November 11, 1918 the daughter of Christian and Anna Poulsten Larsen. In 1968 her and her father traveled to Denmark, and after their retirement, she and her husband, Victor, traveled to Denmark in 1985. Liz enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. She was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church and a life member of the Seneca County Farm Bureau.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Victor; brother-in-law, Raymond Kjar of Himrod; sister-in-law, Viola Christiansen of Penn Yan, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters.
