AUBURN | Alex Marginsky, 81, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Jan. 27, 2013, after a long illness at Auburn Community Hospital. Mr. Marginsky was born in Auburn on April 22, 1931, to Frank and Tillie Skamsky Marginsky. Alex was a graduate of East High School, class of 1949. He earned a degree in aeronautics from Oklahoma State and he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee of Verizon with 39 years of service as an installation and repair technician. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Tillie Bodnaryk. Alex is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia, of 54 years. Also surviving him are two sons, Len, of Auburn and Greg, of Florida; a daughter, Pam and son-in-law, Rick Tinti, of Auburn; granddaughter, Tera and grandson-in-law, Alex Domaradzki, of North Tonawanda; grandson, Erik Tinti and fiancé, Leslie Maffei; grandsons, Zachary and Jeremy Marginsky, all of Auburn; many nieces and nephews, and a loyal and devoted friend, Jim Atkinson. In accordance with Alex's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Private services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
