LYONS - Thomas J. Darcangelis, 81, of Montezuma St., died Thursday (January 24, 2013) at his residence after a short illness. Tom was loved and adored by his family and will be sadly missed.
Family and friends may attend a Memorial Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Parish at St. Michael's Church in Lyons on Tuesday (Jan. 29) at 10 a.m. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery. A reception will follow church at Studebaker's.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Church or to Lyons Fire Department.
Mr. Darcangelis was born on September 8, 1931 and was a lifetime resident of Lyons. He served in the Army from 1952 to 1954. He worked for the NYS Railroad from 1947 to 1952 and then retired from Garlock, Inc. in Palmyra after 35 years of employment.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Rosalind of Lyons; daughter, MaryJo (Peter) Smokoski; and two sons, Robert (Denise) Darcangelis and Steven (Yvonne) Darcangelis, all of Lyons; grandchildren, Ryan Jones, Phillip, Steven, Chelsea and Jacob Darcangelis; sister, Anna Lind of Clyde, several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Margaret Darcangelis; and brother, Rudolph Darcangelis.
