MANLIUS | Georgia Lee Carbonaro, 86, of Manlius, formally of Auburn, passed away Jan. 21, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital with her family by her side. Georgia was the daughter of the late George and Myrtle Dermody Busch. Georgia was a woman of many passions. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed reading, gardening, skiing, bird watching, weight training, archery and rifle shooting. She also enjoyed golfing as a member of the Skaneateles Country Club. In her younger years, she trained for the Olympics as a swimmer in the Wisconsin River. Georgia was on the Parks and Recreation committee in Auburn and a Brownie leader for many years. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She is survived by two sons, Dr. David A. Carbonaro, of Rochester and John E. Carbonaro and his wife, Debbie Osso, of Perinton; three daughters, Patricia A. Carbonaro Callahan and Robert Green, of Skaneateles, Christy L. Lemp and her husband, W. Donald, of Skaneateles and Mary-Jo Carbonaro, of Auburn; 13 grandchildren, Christopher E. Iles and his wife, Melissa, of Manlius, Patrick A. Iles and his wife, Zena, of Manhattan, Alexandra L. Carbonaro, of Rochester, Daniel E. Carbonaro, U.S. Army, Fort Bragg, N.C., W. Christian Lemp, of New Britain, Conn., Michael Ross Lemp, of Skaneateles, Daniel Patrick Lemp, of Skaneateles, Steven Carbonaro, of Perinton, Angela Carbonaro, of Perinton, Gina Carbonaro, of Perinton, Jeremy P. Carbonaro and his wife, Sarah, of Rochester, Taylor D. Carbonaro, of Auburn and Mason D. Carbonaro, of Auburn; eight great-grandchildren, Gwenyth, Kirsten, and Meghan Iles, Owen and Abby Iles, Delilah, Eloise, and Archer Carbonaro. In addition to her parents, Georgia was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Dr. Daniel E. Carbonaro, on April 17, 1995. Family and friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church, 90 Melrose Road, Auburn. A Mass of celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 26, 2013, at the church. Brew Funeral Home, 48 South St., Auburn is in charge of the arrangements.
