Margaret "Peg" Huffman

CLIFTON SPRINGS - Margaret Huffman, age 97, of Ashton Place, passed away on Sunday (January 20, 2013) at the Clifton Springs Hospital Nursing Home.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no prior calling hours. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Pioneer Cemetery.
Peg was born Aug. 29, 1915 in Manchester, N.Y. the daughter of the late Clifford and Iva Cornell. She attended school and later taught at the Coonville School also know as the Manchester District #12 one room school house that is currently located on the Midlakes campus. Peg retired after 30 years of teaching at the Como Park Elementary, Lancaster, N.Y. She was a porcelain artist, avid world traveler and very talented china painter. Peg belonged to the NYS Retired Teachers Association, the Lancaster-Depew Teachers Association and the Lancaster Porcelain Artists Association.
Peg is survived by her nieces, Judy (Richard) Bentley of Cortland and Dolores Bush of Newark; nephew, Paul (Valerie) Dries of Homer.
Peg is predeceased by her husband, Jack Huffman in 2008; and sister, Dorothy Dries.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Patrick Funeral Home, Clifton Springs.
