Geneva/Phelps - Kathryn "Kay" Hickey, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (January 15, 2013) at the Ontario County Health Facility.
There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday (Jan19) at 9:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church. Private burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the House of John 14 Spring St. Clifton Springs, NY 14432.
Kay was born on December 6, 1922 in Corning the daughter of the late Edward and Pauline Earhardt Dalton. She was a graduate of Corning Free Academy class of 1941 in Corning. She was employed by the New York Telephone Company and worked in the Corning, Watertown and Geneva offices and retired from the National Bank of Geneva in 1985.
Kay was a member of the New York Telephone Pioneer's Association, New York State Banker's Association, American Legion Winnek Post 396 Women's Auxiliary and St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church. Kay enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and sharing memories.
She is survived by her children, Kathleen M. "Casey" Gross of Cortland, Joseph S. (Valerie) Hickey of Finksburg, Md. and Elizabeth A. (David) Tillman of Phelps; grandchildren, Jason (Suzanne), Ryan and Julie Gross, Lauren and Michael Hickey, Kyle, Meghan and Sean Tillman; great-grandson, Rory Gross; a sister, Mary Ann (John) Grant of Orchard Park, several nieces and nephews.
Kay was predeceased by her husband Joseph S. Hickey in 2000; sister, Alice Dygert; and brother, Edward Dalton.

the entire staff of the Ontario County Health Facility.
