AUBURN | Jean Mitchell Reynolds, 87, of Anderson Circle, Auburn, passed away Jan. 12, 2013, at the Harbor House in Washington. She was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late Henry and Kathleen Connor Mitchell and had resided most of her life in this area. She was a very devout Catholic and longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Jean loved to help people and often volunteered for many local groups, most close to her heart was helping in numerous bereavement groups. She cherished her family and loved her Irish descent. Jean was a longtime member of the Hibernians Club in Auburn. Jean loved to travel, especially the trips to her favorite country, Ireland. She is survived by her three daughters, Anne (Dr. Russell) Voegtlen, Susan (Louis) Marullo and Kathleen (Keith) Degginger; three grandchildren, Eric and Adam Marullo, Kevin Degginger; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and her very special nieces, the children from her brother, Jack Mitchell, which she held close to her heart. In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Reynolds; a brother, John 'Jack' Mitchell and his daughter, Sharon Mitchell Gioia. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, in Sacred Heart Church, for Jean's Mass of Christian burial. Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 90 Melrose Road, Auburn, NY 13021. Arrangements are by Pettigrass Funeral Home.
