Phelps - Yvonne L. Thorn, age 72, of Toll Road died on Saturday (January 12, 2013) at her home with her family by her side.
There will be no prior calling hours. Services and Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring.
It is requested that memorial donations be made to the Phelps Fire Dept. 79 Ontario Street Phelps, NY 14532.
Mrs. Thorn was born on October 21, 1940 in Lyons, N.Y. the daughter of the late Elwood and Marion Schmuck Hartman. Mrs. Thorn worked at Caroline Emmons (Sara Coventry) in Newark as a book keeper and retired from Canandaiagua WIne as a book keeper. After retirement she worked for her daughter at Sunshine Trucking in Phelps.
Mrs. Thorn is survived by her husband of 50 years, Clifford Thorn of Phelps; son, Rodney Thorn of Phelps; daughter, Chris (Mark Colf) Dzula of Clifton Springs; two grandchildren, Dakota Dzula and Megan Colf; brother, Duane Hartman of Florida/Lyons; sisters, Sandra (Richard) Landschoot of Phelps, Delores Stocks of Clyde; sisters-in-law, Diana Landschoot and Barbara Swartztrauber ; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John Hartman; and brother-in-law, Richard Thorn.
Funeral arrangements have been made with the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps.
