Newark - Thelma Cook Wrench, 91, entered eternity on Sunday (January 6, 2013) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Fulfilling Mrs. Wrench's wishing there will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends may attend a Memorial Service on Friday (Jan. 11) at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Newark followed by a small luncheon. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery, N. Main St. at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Wrench was born the daughter of the late Dennis and Marie (VanDeviver) Cook on Saturday, July 30, 1921 in Palmyra, N.Y. She was a full time homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. Mrs. Wrench was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church in Newark and also a member of the once Eastern Star "Amitie" Chapter 473. She loved to spend time with children, read and work on crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Wrench will be remembered by her son, Albert "Lynn" Wrench Jr. of Newark; daughter, Karen Strickland of Ariz..; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver, Mary Young of Newark.
Mrs. Wrench was predeceased by her loving husband, Albert J. Wrench Sr. on Jan. 6, 200; and her brother, Harold Cook.
