Romulus - Darlene M. Laird, 58, of Pleasant Valley, died Wednesday (January 1, 2013) at home.
Friends may call on Saturday (Jan. 5) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 5) at the funeral home. Raymond Torrey, pastor of Calvary Chapel in Seneca Falls will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to an organization of one's choice.
Darlene was born October 9, 1954 in Rochester, the daughter of Harry O. and Mary Jane Brink Swinehart, Sr. She worked as a Mig Welder at Parker Hannafin for several years. She worked as a cook in several local restaurants; most recently the Star Diner. She loved Bingo, Knitting and Crocheting.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, George Laird, Sr.; daughter, Dawn (Josh) Beyers of Canandaigua; three stepchildren, Paula Laird of Fla., George Laird, Jr. and Marissa Laird both of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Renee Laird, Felicia Beyers, and Michael Griffith, Jr.; five brothers, Steven (Kym) Swinehart of Waterloo, Harry (Patti) Swinehart, Jr. of Waterloo, Ronald (Carol) Swinehart of Geneva, Richard (Christa) Swinehart of S.C., Gary (Sue) Werner of Fishersville, Va.; and sister, Diana (Larry) Wolcott of Waterloo and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Gerald T. Swinehart, Sr.
