PENN YAN - Dorothy Vera Racinowski, 91, of Penn Yan, N.Y. passed away peacefully on Tuesday (January 1, 2013) at the Homestead, Penn Yan, N.Y.
Friends may attend calling hours at 1 p.m. with Memorial Service at 2 p.m. on Saturday (January 5) at the Weldon Funeral Home, 102 East Main Street, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation, One Intrepid Square, West 46th St., New York, NY 10036.
Born on September 27, 1921, preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John A. Racinowski.
Dorothy is survived by children, Royce (Mary), Linda (Ralph) Jones; grandson, Jeremiah Jones; sister, Velma Pittenger; sister-in-law, Martha Nelan, many nieces and nephews and extended family.
The Racinowski family would like to thank the caring staff at The Homestead Units 1 and 3.
