AUBURN | Marjorie F. Thompson, 90, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Mercy Health and Rehabilitation Center. Marjorie was born in Nunda, N.Y., the daughter of the late, Otto and Annis Powell Greene. Marjorie played the trumpet in the all-girls high school orchestra. She was a secretary for the Northway Collision. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and playing games with the grandchildren. Marjorie also loved going on family vacations and especially trips to the ocean. She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Thompson, married 69 years on July 3, 1943; two sons, Jerry Thompson and his wife, Linda, of Weedsport and John Thompson and his wife, Cindy, of Piscataway, N.J.; two daughters, Susan Meyer and her husband, Mitchell, of Cayuga and Ann Schafer and her husband, Scott, of Auburn; sister, Vesta Hale, of Rochester; brother, Clinton Greene and his wife, Miriam, of Florida; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her sister, Virginia Parsons. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
