MORAVIA | Patricia A. Sylvester, 80, of Hall Road, Moravia, formerly of Syracuse, passed away Dec. 9, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Sylvester was born Dec. 9, 1932 in Flushing, N.Y., the daughter of John and Mildred Maher. She was employed at Eagle Comtronics of Liverpool, as a bookkeeper, until her retirement. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis J. Sylvester, in 1984 and is survived by two sons, Francis J. (Virginia) Sylvester, of Liverpool and Richard G. (Kimberly) Sylvester, of Rochester; two daughters, Donna M. (Wayne) Jaques, of Stratford, Ont., Canada and Caryn A. (John) Slaski, of Moravia; a dear sister, Jean Reilly, of Virginia; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at St. Patrick's Church, Moravia. There are no calling hours. The family will receive guests at the church prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of CNY. Arrangements are with the Wade Funeral Home, Moravia.
