Ellen H. Hollier, 94, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at Auburn Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Keysor Funeral Service, 11362 South St., Cato, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 12. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Skaneateles. For those wishing, memorials may be made to CIMVAC or Jordan Ambulance in her memory. Ellen was born on June 8, 1918, in Skaneateles, a daughter to the late Frank and Mary Wylie Meaker. Ellen was a graduate of Skaneateles High School. She retired from the Cato Showprint. Ellen was a 4H club leader for many years, a member of the local home bureau and a member of Jordan United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughter, Roberta Southard, of Jordan; two sons, LeRoy (Erika) Hollier, of Savannah and David (Susan) Hollier, of Red Creek; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Agnes Smart, of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews. Ellen was predeceased by her husband, Frank in 2003; two sisters, Sophie Leone and Jean Edwards; son-in-law, Lee Southard; and grandson, David Southard. Ellen had a blessed life and was a blessing to us all along the way. In her angelic state, she will continue to influence our lives in highly positive ways.
