Seneca Castle/Farmington - Timothy P. Gray, age 53, of Farmington, died on Sunday (December 2, 2012) at Strong Memorial Hospital.
It is suggested that memorial donations be made to the Red Cross in the Finger Lakes, 83 W. Bayard St, Seneca Falls, NY 13148.
Friends may call on Wednesday (December 5), from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main Street, Phelps. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Dec. 6) at 10 a.m. at the United Church of Phelps with Rev. AJ Tierson officiating. Burial will be in Whitney Cemetery in Seneca Castle.
Tim was born on March 16, 1959 in Canandaigua, N.Y., the son of Wendell and Barbara Ann Bird Gray. He graduated from Midlakes High School in 1977. Tim was employed at the Town of Farmington. He enjoyed working on cars and attending auctions. Tim had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed anything that involved his family, from playing cards to attending nieces' and nephews' sporting events.
He is survived by his father, Wendell Gray of Clifton Springs; brothers and sisters, Kevin (Susan) Gray of Seneca Castle, Lawrence Gray of Stanley, Kenneth (Lois) Gray of Cato, Thomas (Anita) Gray of Charlotte N.C., Theodore (Meredith) Gray of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Katherine Meyer of Geneva, Karen (Roy) Hardy of Phelps, Jeffrey Gray of Vestal, Laurie (Steven) Knapp of Macedon, James (Marie) Gray of Farmington, Jerald (Virginia) Gray of Henrietta, many nieces, nephews and The Gray and Bird families.
Tim's family would like to thank the Dr's and staff at the Sands Cancer Center and Dr's, nurses and staff at Strong Memorial Hospital 7th floor for the wonderful care they gave him.
