Judson J. Ransom Jr. HALL - Judson J. Ransom Jr., age 75, of Wilson Road, died on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, at 1 p.m. at Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Hall. Jud was born in Prattsburgh and was the son of the late Judson and Clara Kennedy Ransom Sr. He retired from Garlock in Palmyra in 1992, after 36 years of service. After retirement, Jud worked for the Sugar Shack blueberry patch for several years. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking and spending time with his family. Jud is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Hudson Ransom; three children, Randy (Kim) Ransom, Sharlyn (Anthony) Secor and Ricky Ransom; nine grandchildren, Brandy (Jason) Cooper, Jason (Dee) Cooley, Billy (Mandi) Ransom, Shannon Trottier, Kristopher (Jess) Frisbee, Sean Ransom, Kellilyn (Jerry Proctor) Cooley, Tonie Secor and Amanda (Dan) Miller; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (Wallace) Minns and LaVerna Roe; aunt, Shirley Burnisky; lifelong friend, Clifford (Marian) Nielson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jud was predeceased by his grandson-in-law, Christopher Trottier, in 2012; and brother-in-law, Donald Roe, in 2009. Arrangements are by Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham.
